What's a Twitter List, you ask? You can categorize your followers or people/businesses into individual lists.
Why do that? Let's say you're an author. You can have lists of Fav Authors/Author Friends/Fantasy Authors/Reviewers - any number of Lists with whatever you want to call them. The benefit is that you can click on one of your lists and it will show the feed for everyone that you've put in that list. Perhaps you want to find someone to promote your book. Click on that list and read what promoters are saying.
Are you on someone's list? You very well could be. I was surprised to find that I'm on several people's lists. You don't have to follow someone to add them to a list.
How do you set up lists? So simple. Find the person first. For instance, let's say you want to find me. In the address, type @merridm
My profile comes up. On the right hand side on the main line, you'll see the options button - a circle. Click on that. One of the options is to add or remove from list. Click on that. Your lists will come up and you can check the one you want to put that person in.
What if you want to start a new list and add that person to it? There's an option for that.
Now, all those followers and people you follow, or even people you don't follow, but want to see from time to time are in neat little lists. Perhaps on Monday you want to see what Marketers are doing, Tuesday you're interested in what your fellow authors are doing, Wednesday you want to see what your favorite actor is up to.
While you're checking out your lists, don't forget to reply to some, retweet many, and favorite the ones you like.
Simplify your work. Build your twitter lists today.
